The Youth Develop North Macedonia (YDMK) is an independent non-government non-profit organization of public service. The organization is a natural extension of a non-stop gradation and development of civic-mindedness and potential of a group of young people. YDMK is a newly founded youth organization, but the founding team has a longstanding experience in the NGO sector, acquired through participation in different international and national non- government and student organizations.

Looking for partners

Youth Develop North Macedonia (YDMK, Bitola) seeks reliable partners for Erasmus+ Youth projects: Youth Mobilities (KA152), Youth Participation (KA154) and Small-Scale Partnerships (KA210). We welcome NGOs, youth centres and youth-focused organisations working with young people aged 16–35. Priority topics: active citizenship and youth participation, non-formal education and volunteering, intercultural dialogue and tolerance, human rights, environmental protection and green energy, and youth employability.

About the organisation

The Youth Develop North Macedonia (YDMK) is an independent non-government non-profit organization of public service. The organization is a natural extension of a non-stop gradation and development of civic-mindedness and potential of a group of young people. YDMK is a newly founded youth organization, but the founding team has a longstanding experience in the NGO sector, acquired through participation in different international and national non- government and student organizations. The Organization's purpose and vision is to contribute to the creation of active citizens, useful and supportive of their community, who will understand and accept all people without prejudices and limitations, the support of young people for the rapid changes after the economic crisis but also the pandemic and the cataclysmic changes in technology and the need to protect the environment by promoting and green clean energy in a logical and coordinated manner, with an exchange of intercultural ideas, values and knowledge, in the context of respecting social and territorial cohesion and achieving cooperation of of young people, highlighting the importance of gender and race equality in all programs, and addressing unemployment with new work proposals, familiarization with new forms of work, cooperation and personal and collective progress Through non-formal education and voluntary activities, young people will be encouraged to create personal and collective efforts and strategies always with an acceptance of the diversity and specificity of other cultures. They will be encouraged and trained to recognize the particularities of different cultures by detecting and recognizing the universal values of man. Working objectives: ● Responsibility towards the world's cultural and natural heritage ● Human rights and youth rights ● Volunteering ● Tolerance ● Intercultural dialogue ● Emancipation of the young ● Active participation of citizens, especially young people ● Society and planet in harmony through the cooperation of young people. ● Promoting the importance of protecting the social and natural environment and promoting sustainable green energy, addressing contemporary challenges faced by young people at all levels

Activities and experience

Our target groups are all young active citizens aged between 16-35 years old from Bitola and the surrounding area. The organizastion has the following activities: ● Promotion of equality between different cultural - social groups ● Awareness for the recognition of cultural and natural heritage ● Development of professional skills and leadership abilities ● Education of young people in foreign languages ● Promoting non-formal education and encouraging the creation of youth support systems at local, state and international levels. ● Promotion of volunteering ● Promotion of the active social action of young people, information and the activation of young people ● Raising awareness among young people about equality, tolerance, democracy and informing young people about human rights. ● Cooperation with universities and other educational and cultural institutions, state institutions, international organizations and other organizations of the country and abroad. ● Collaborations with similar organizations, higher and higher institutions and any body that will promote the training, cooperation and work of young people and the creation of the appropriate conditions for their work integration and their easier transnational cooperation and their movement for training, education and work purposes and the continuous development of their abilities and skills. ● Research activity in the field of activity ● Organization and implementation of training courses, seminars, workshops, round tables and other open discussions and educational activities ● Organization of public debates, campaigns, presentations and other activities ● Preparation and publication of printed and electronic publications

    Developing employability skills, career planning, and digital competencies; raising awareness about the risks of gambling and responsible decision-making; promoting social inclusion, intercultural dialogue, and active citizenship through international youth exchange.

    Strengthening knowledge regarding organic and sustainable agriculture, agricultural waste management, and climate change; developing young eco-leaders and eco-entrepreneurs; and implementing campaigns for environmental protection and the promotion of sustainable agricultural practices.

    The project focused on promoting a healthy lifestyle through daily habits, physical activity, and a commitment to well-being. Participants had the opportunity to exchange cultures, traditions, food, and stories with young people from six different countries.
