The Durrësi Aktiv Center aims to mobilize citizens to actively participate in shaping our collective

reality. We are dedicated to improving our city towards a sustainable future by promoting democratic

values, active participation, equal communities, solidarity, and volunteerism. Our community

platform “Jamvullnetar.al” promotes the initiatives of activists in Durrës and their profiles.

The social enterprise Art & Aktivizëm, established by DURRËSI AKTIV, is a dedicated space for

young artists and activists who want to express their talents but lack opportunities to engage in their

communities. Our center offers mentoring programs for young artists who wish to improve their

skills and an opportunity to promote their work to generate social and economic value.

This represents a new model of using assets confiscated from corruption to serve the community.

Our artists use various forms of art focusing on recycled materials in turning in art, and generate

revenue creating social and economic value for the artists, community and the social enterprise itself

to continue its mission. We look forward to your collaboration in building a community where art

becomes a catalyst for positive change and activism radiates with creativity.

Our programs for youngsters focus on career readiness, leadership development, rising

environmental awareness, and entrepreneurial skills, preparing them for future employment and

active civic engagement.

Durrësi Aktiv Center is dedicated to preserving and revitalizing the cultural and historical heritage

exhibitions, workshops, and interactive tools like the Old Doors Trail and a heritage-based board

and support groups for minority communities. We offer accessible educational activities and support

services tailored to the needs of individuals with disabilities, fostering an inclusive environment.
