Gemlik Çevre Kültür ve Sürdürülebilirlik Derneği

Gemlik Çevre Kültür ve Sürdürülebilirlik Derneği (GECSUD) was established in 2025 in Gemlik, Bursa. It is a small, non-profit, and independent civil society organization. The association was founded by local professionals who had earlier experience in SME consultancy, project management, and community initiatives.

The aim of GECSUDis to protect the environment and natural resources, to raise awareness on sustainability, and to promote cultural values as part of social life. The association works mainly at the local level, but also seeks to build partnerships at the national and European levels.

Main focus areas are:

● climate change and circular economy,

● biodiversity and environmental awareness,

● sustainable tourism and cultural heritage,

● empowerment of youth and women in local communities.

Although GECSUDis newly established, its founding members have many years of practical experience. The association has already carried out local awareness activities in Gemlik, such as community meetings on environmental protection and small workshops on waste management and recycling.

Through the professional background of its members, GECSUD is also active in SME consultancy, especially in helping local businesses to understand sustainability standards and to adapt to green practices. The organisation cooperates with municipalities, local enterprises and educational institutions in Bursa region.

Its ambition is to join European projects to gain experience, share knowledge, and create long-term partnerships on environmental and cultural sustainability.
