Activities and experience

1 Environmental Education and Nature-Based Learning

EKOBIT develops and supports practical learning activities linked to ecology, biodiversity, climate awareness, sustainable living and environmental responsibility. Its experts contribute to field-based learning, bird migration and biodiversity education, outdoor observation, environmental inquiry and community awareness activities.

2 Green Skills and Green Advocacy

The association promotes competences that help young people understand environmental challenges, make responsible choices, communicate evidence-based messages and participate in local green action. Activities may include youth-led campaigns, local environmental mapping, community dialogue, eco-initiatives and advocacy exercises.

3 Green STEM and Biomimicry

EKOBIT connects environmental issues with science, technology, engineering and mathematics. Green STEM and biomimicry activities encourage young people to study natural systems, identify sustainability challenges, design solutions and develop ideas for future environmental initiatives.

4 Digital Pedagogy, Media Literacy and Artificial Intelligence

The association supports educators, youth workers and learners in using digital tools responsibly and practically. This includes digital content creation, critical media literacy, safe use of online platforms, artificial intelligence-supported learning and technology-based project outputs.

5 Inclusion, Wellbeing and Personal Development

EKOBIT designs accessible non-formal learning activities that support wellbeing, communication, resilience, responsible decision-making and equal participation. Small-group work, mentoring, reflective methods and practical tasks are used to help participants with different learning needs engage meaningfully.

6 Youth Participation, Volunteering and Community Learning

The association links learning with action through volunteering, youth-led initiatives, community events and cooperation with schools, municipalities and civil society organisations. Young people are encouraged to take responsibility, work collaboratively and contribute to local solutions.
