CENTER FOR INTERETHNIC DIALOGUE AND TOLERANCE AMALIPE (Amalipe Tsentar za mezhduetnicheski dialog I tolerantnost) is a leading Roma organization working for equal integration of Roma in the Bulgarian society. The organization plays central role in the organization of Roma civil movement and advocates for Roma integration to government institutions. Amalipe Center believes in the equal integration of Roma in society based on the preservation of Roma identity, mutual understanding and solidarity between Bulgarians and Roma. Our mission is to stimulate modernize and empower Roma community in Bulgaria for its active participation and equal access to resources and development processes, with priority focus on access to quality education, quality health care and social services, as well as on empowerment of Roma women and youths.

Activities and experience
The Amalipe Center has extensive experience spanning over two decades in addressing education, healthcare, discrimination, early marriage, overcoming stereotypes, and hate speech. Throughout these years, the Center has established a robust network of partners, including high-profile figures such as the President of the Republic, Ministers, Ambassadors, mayors, and educational experts.
Key Projects and Results:
1. DREAM Project: Funded by the Erasmus+ KA2 program, this project aims to combat discrimination against young Roma in digital media. The project successfully involved pupils, teachers, schools, and Roma associations to identify and analyze stereotypes and develop educational tool-kits. This initiative fostered a more inclusive educational environment by providing activities and tools to counteract discrimination.
2. SKHC Project: Part of the EU/CoE Joint Programme, this project developed a peaceful and inclusive school culture in Greece, North Macedonia, and Bulgaria. By using the Council of Europe's "Managing Controversy" training tool, the project equipped schools to handle controversial issues effectively, promoting human rights education and inclusivity.
3. YAG Project: This project focused on building the capacity of young Roma and non-Roma to combat antigypsyism and promote Roma youth participation in mainstream structures. Through a series of capacity-building events across several countries, the project enhanced awareness and involvement in youth policies and strategies relevant to Roma inclusion.
4. Intercultural Academy for Civic Participation and Tolerance: In collaboration with various partners, this project engaged high school students, particularly from underserved Roma communities, in civic participation. By providing interactive peer-to-peer training and educational activities, the project significantly increased the knowledge and motivation of students to be active in civic life.
5. ERELA Project: This initiative aimed to enhance legal access for Roma communities in Bulgaria and Croatia. By raising awareness about legal rights and empowering Roma individuals to seek legal remedies, the project fostered greater trust in legal systems and encouraged more Roma to pursue justice for human rights violations and discrimination.
