Association for the Promotion of Cultural and Economic Development ERC Cooperation, Bitola

ECD COOPERATION is an association for cultural and economical

promotion founded by a group of young people from Bitola. Our

association started from initiative of young people from Macedonia

formed in 2001 like a informal group and in July 2002 it was

registered as a NGO. The goal of ECD COOPERATION association

is to promote through non-formal education a cultural and economical

development for the benefit of the public, the preservation,

conservation, respect and the protection of the environment and the

prudent use of resources, encouraging self employment and culture of

the territory of belonging in the specialties to it in all forms and

manifestations, in the Macedonian territory and internationally.

ECD COOPERATION promotes international mobility projects , in

order to study and work abroad , with the aim of enhancing the

professional and linguistic skills and promoting greater integration

into the global job market.

The aims of ECD COOPERATION is:

- contributing to the development, to help, monitor and ensure

the cultural and economic development in the municipality

as well as in relation to the newly formed societies in these

areas.

- Contribution to the fight against human trafficking and their

prevention in the Republic and abroad.

Activities that will achieve the goals of the Association for

encouraging cultural and economic development ERC

COOPERATION Bitola:

- Promotion of the concept of entrepreneurship in the field of

culture and economy

- Promotion of the concept of combating trafficking in human

beings

- Development of professional and leadership skills among

young citizens

- Promoting non-formal education and encouraging the

creation of youth support systems at local, national and

international level

- Participation in promoting the region as a tourist center by

organizing specific cultural events to preserve the tradition

- Participation in activities for regional development of the

municipality and fight against human trafficking

- Promotion of youth activism, youth information and active

citizenship among young people

- Raising awareness of equality, tolerance, democracy and

introducing young people to human rights;

- - Support and facilitation of the process of Europeanization

of the Republic of North Macedonia

We have experience in many of youth projects because of our work in

this field for over 20 years.

ECD COOPERATION organize cultural, ,entrepreneurial educational

and other events, we promote environmental and heritage areas for

local community through non formal methodologies, humanitarian

work through many actions and cooperation with other humanitarian

organizations. We encourage young people inclusion in discussion

and solving various problems in our community and we cooperate

with other similar associations in our country and wider. We aim to

educate young people in mentioned areas in order to give them

opportunity to spread everything they have learned and to encourage

them to become actively involved in life of their community. We

have years of experience in promoting cultural and economic

development cooperating with other organizations and we are

always looking for opportunities to build new partnerships with

organizations who share the same world view, which will hopefully

enrich our activities and broaden our horizons. We always drive our

volunteers to take part in projects related to a big variety of topics

such as: entrepreneurship leadership, unemployment issues, human

trafficking, art and creativity, team building, non-formal education

methods and youth work, discrimination and democracy and many

others. ECD COOPERATION as well was lead part of the projects

which promotes the intercultural dialogue. ECD COOPERATION is

local partner to Youth Forum from Krusevo and together we organize

a workshops about improving leadership and entrepreneur skills.ECD

Cooperation continuously is working with ESC program which sent

and hosting volunteers from different countries around Europe.

The organisation encounter more than 500 members and supporters

who are youth workers, social workers, social volunteers, students,

professors and social activists. Our youth members are people with

different level of education and background.

We work mostly with people 17 + years old and adults up to 50 years

old.
