    EDUMA is a Slovak non-profit organisation focused on inclusive education, social inclusion and the development of empathetic critical thinking. Through experiential learning, storytelling and emotional education, it helps young people, educators, youth workers, universities and companies better understand the needs and lived experiences of people facing social, health or ethnic barriers. EDUMA develops innovative educational tools and programmes, including workshops, training, virtual reality experiences and the Online Living Library, which uses authentic personal stories to challenge prejudice, foster dialogue and support more inclusive attitudes and practices.

  2. Roma advocacy and research centre

    The most important area is the education of the new generation and the improvement of the social status of disadvantaged groups. In the work, the team applies research methods, mainly qualitative, through which it obtains relevant data as supporting tools in public discourse. Objectives of the Roma advocacy and research are: to develop activities which promote inclusive society; to promote tolerance, diversity, and equal chances in the society; to bring facts about Roma and prevent prejudices and stereotypes; to give a voice to all groups, especially young Roma; to help Roma communities to develop their own competences and abilities to solve problems; to develop professional, social, cultural, economic activities and civic commitment. Our activities are focused on influencing the community development of the Roma minority through an inclusive approach. This approach is based on mutual active cooperation between the minority and the majority population.

    Our school provides education for students with intellectual and other disabilities. It consists of four organisational units: a vocational school at Dúbravská cesta 1, and a vocational school, a practical school and a secondary vocational school at Švabinského 7. The campus at Dúbravská cesta also includes a school boarding facility. For many years, we have been working to create an environment where students feel safe, accepted and respected. We rely on a professional and dedicated team of staff who strive to respond to the individual needs of each student. Our ambition is to gradually reach beyond the boundaries of the school and connect our students with the wider community. We aim to create opportunities for them to develop their abilities, gain experience in real-life environments and actively participate in society. We therefore see inclusion not only as a goal, but also as an integral part of our everyday work.
